Who is Jessie “Jet$et” Armand?
Expressive work, explosive joy
I was just four years old when I first got the urge to create. Whether I was drawing on my desk or my homework, I quickly upgraded my pencils for graffiti and would leave my mark on the streets of Montréal.
Over the years, I’ve incorporated several techniques and materials into my work. Sharpie, airbrush, murals, snow sculptures (awards were won!) – I love to mix mediums and blur the lines.
Spreading the madness
It took some time for me to realize the most beautiful creation – the pleasure and happiness that my art brings to people of all ages and walks of life. Whether I’m creating a simple canvas of Felix the Cat or a huge multicoloured mural, it’s the incredible sense of amusement and fascination I see on the faces of my clients that keep me going. This is why I do what I do – to spread joy and create emotional connections with the world.
And it worked, because no matter what my state of mind was, freestyle in front of a blank canvas or structured in front of a building facade, my art started to travel and touch many fields. I've done brand development, corporate events, service promotion, custom work, room or office interior design, etc.
And what about the giant snowbanks that me and my friends carve at night without notice, gorilla style, to change the emotion of the people who start their day routine along the highways...
Mais bon, j'arrête de radoter, parce que vous n'auriez pas le temps de vous détouffer d'étonnement que je serais déjà en train de créer quelque chose d'autre. Je regarde devant!
